This 'Make your Own' kit comes with all the basic materials you need to make a beautiful notebook (or sketchbook) with a hard-backed cover and unique exposed stitching on the spine. This kit is aimed towards those that already have their own tools or wish to buy their own.
Some knowledge of bookbinding would be beneficial but having said that I have known some customers that are confident beginners have found the illustrated step by step instructions easy to follow. There are 54 steps but they are very small steps that take you through the process gradually.

This will make an ideal gift for all your creative friends or family.
The box is letterbox size (UK).
There is a choice of decorative paper or bookcloth for your cover. Please select from the drop-down menu.
There is also the option to choose the colour of thread you would like for the exposed binding stitch.
Kit includes:
30 sheets (makes 120 pages) of 100gsm cartridge paper
Template sheet
Greyboard for cover and spine
Decorative paper for cover and spine (select from the drop-down box)
160gsm paper for the inside of the cover
Linen thread in white and a colour of your choice (select from the drop-down box)
Bookbinding needle
Step-by-step instructions with colour photos

Completed book size: 10.5cm x 15.2cm (outside front cover measurements from spine)
TOOLS NOT INCLUDED
To make the book you will require the following tools but some items you may already have:
PVA Glue,
a glue brush,
a sharp Pencil,
an eraser,
Scissors,
Washi tape (1.2cm width) or similar removable tape,
bone folder,
awl,
beeswax.
a steel ruler,
Cutting mat & snap-blade Stanley knife,
Yellow pages or a thick unwanted magazine (to protect your table when stabbing holes)
